Marshall graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2012 from Duquesne University and started his career within a specialized neurological-trauma and stroke unit at UPMC Mercy hospital for the first 3 years of his professional nursing career. Whenever Marshall decided to go back to school for his master’s degree, he started a new job working for AHN’s Allegheny Valley Hospital’s intensive care unit closer to his home and served their medical and surgical population for 3.5 years until completion of his graduate degree from Duquesne University, again, in 2018.
Marshall was exposed to the world of healthcare after both of his parent’s suffered medical hardships when he was 13 years old. After being exposed to the way healthcare providers administer comfort and heal the sick, he knew healthcare would be in his future. He started as a nurse’s aide and continued to work his way up the clinical ladder by pursuing more education. Marshall’s passion lies with connecting with his patients and establishing great relationships, while helping them to achieve a better quality of life.
During his free time, Marshall enjoys spending time with his wife, hunting, listening to and playing music, spending time outdoors, and reading the news. He currently resides in southern Butler County, recently purchasing the house he grew up in. He enjoyed his rural upbringing along with the hospitality of smaller communities and tries to implement that same hospitality into the care of his patients.
