Dr. Michael Pezzone native to Upper St. Clair. During high school, he was a two sport athlete playing baseball and soccer. He then attended Allegheny College in Meadville PA, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. During his time at Allegheny, he was a four year varsity letter winner in baseball, and currently holds the school record for most doubles in a
single season. During the summers, he conducted research at University of Pittsburgh’s McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine mainly focusing on constructive remodeling of tissue.
His passion for Chiropractic came about after treatment of a pitching injury during college. After seeking out some of Pittsburgh’s best orthopedic and sports medicine doctors, Dr. Mike felt frustrated because nothing seemed to really help. As a last resort, he sought out the laser therapy that Dr. Burnett had to offer. After just a few laser treatments and chiropractic
adjustments, he was able to throw pain free again.
Dr. Mike graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida in June 2018. Dr. Mike was an officer in Palmer’s Soft Tissue Club and Motion Palpation Club where he had the opportunity to mentor and teach younger students chiropractic adjustment techniques and sports specific treatment protocols. When he was not in the classroom, you could find him at the gym or
taking part in campus intramural sports. During his clinical experience he furthered his training in IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), trigger point therapy, cox flexion distraction therapy and ART. Dr. Mike has attended the Pro Baseball Chiropractic Society’s Baseball and Sports Performance Conference to learn more about treating the overhead throwing athletes. He also had the privilege to provide chiropractic treatment to the Daytona State College/Embry Riddle University Rugby Team.
Dr. Mike resides in the south hills and is eager to provide chiropractic care to his community. He has desire to work with the high school and college level athletes and sports teams. Dr. Mike specializes in treatment for overhead throwing athletes. In his free time, he enjoys working out, running, playing adult league baseball and softball, and spending time with family and friends.
