thaoDr. Thao’s story in chiropractic began years ago when her mother was diagnosed with disc herniation and degeneration. The doctors said she had no chance of getting better and surgery was the only option. She had multiple injections and had some relief but nothing-long term. She was in pain for most of the day and it was heart wrenching to watch. Dr. Thao states, “When it’s your mother, it starts getting personal.” Dr. Thao was very hesitant for her mother to have surgery knowing the success rate for back surgery is minimal and complications that go along with a major operation. With this in mind, she started researching and finding alternative care. She was very new to chiropractic at this time but read countless articles on the benefit of seeing a chiropractor. It was non-invasive, non-surgical, and promised results. What was there to lose? Her progress was slow but for the first time, she had relief. To this day, her mother makes time for monthly spinal check-ups to maintain her spinal health.

From this experience, Dr. Thao chose to devote her life’s work to Chiropractic. She works actively in the community promoting organizations on health and wellness. She enjoys educating others on how to prevent injuries, and at the same time maintaining peak performance in all facets of life. Her mission is to empower as many people as possible to experience their optimal health potential through genuine care and education.

Dr. Thao received her BA from the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to receive her degree in Chiropractic at Palmer Florida. The techniques that she utilizes include: Diversified, Flexion/Distraction, Gonstead, and Activator. Her love of chiropractic and genuine care for others drives her pursuit for excellence in her work as well as service to the community.

Dr. Thao resides in Southside where she spends her nights cuddling up with her two furry children. She is a food enthusiast and enjoys cooking meals that are not only indulgent but healthy.
